Services

The LABEL ELEMENT offers producers a variety of “à la carte” services that are fully flexible according to the needs of the latter or, conversely, full-service.

We work with a wide network of professionals: laboratories, mixing and dubbing studios, translators, artistic directors, creative agencies, graphic designers, editors, and other audio-visual professionals in France and in Europe.

You will find below a description of the services offered by ELEMENT.

Archiving &  heritage

The digital environment has definitely changed how audiovisual master copies are stored and archived. While in the past, everything was left to the care of laboratories, digital files today require special attention and new methods to preserve the technical aspects of a film for the future. When considering both intellectual rights and work durability, the preservation contract becomes an essential step in the life and trajectory of a film asset.

Long-term preservation requires a detailed and exact inventory of film heritage. This exact and geographical knowledge of the material makes it possible to safeguard it, no matter what is at stake: pledges, catalog repurchase, new broadcast, while taking into account migration, replication and reversibility requirements.

We collaborate with producers and audiovisual rights and catalog holders to:

  • Establish a complete inventory of the materials based on the state of existing catalogs
  • Selecting elements to be preserved by mutual agreement with the rights holders so that the work is protected for the future
  • Researching and negotiating the best-suited archiving solution and draw up a contract
  • The day-to-day legal and technical management of these archives

Restoration

Enhancing or reselling a film or catalogue of films often requires image restoration and programme remastering, within strict budget and deadline constraints. We work along with producers, catalogue and audiovisual rights holders to supervise the revaluation of their works: restoring or remastering in current formats, with the necessary upgrades.
